Minnesota United’s first-half goals Saturday were equal parts gift and greatness.Portland Timbers midfielder Diego Chara was charged with an own goal to give MNUFC a 1-0 lead in the 43rd minute, and Minnesota supporters chanted, “Thank you, Portland!” at Allianz Field. Then Loons star playmaker Emanuel Reynoso pulled out his best trick yet in the 49th minute. Known for his nifty and nasty playmaking, Reynoso scored on a stunning Olimpico — where a corner-kick taker does it on his own, bending an in-swinger perfectly into the back of the net.MNUFC broke the game open with two more goals in the second half to cruise to a 4-1 win in St. Paul. Minnesota (6-7-6, 24 points) moved ahead of Portland (5–97, 22 points) in the Western Conference standings.MNUFC needed a victory because since early April, only Inter Miami has collected fewer points than the Loons’ 10 in their 13 matches. While Chara had the ignominy of scoring on his own team, the Loons had put the Timbers under steady pressure t...Precautionary boil advisory issued for several St. Louis neighborhoods
